Following Corporate Emirates initiatives, we embarked on a planned process to introduce a safety management system into our ground-based operations in New Zealand. After considering several options, we chose the services of SafetyPro Limited.
They provided an implementation plan and resources, including Distinction Edition of their cloud based OHS system, SafetyBase. Director Simon Lawrence guided us through a detailed Implementation Plan. We recorded our events and plans into SafetyBase and arrived at audit time with a largely paperless system.
We passed Secondary Level for ACC’s WSMP at first attempt. The package really worked for us!”
We wanted to extend the capabilities of our SafetyBase account to encompass specifics of site visits by contractors to our network locations, so we briefed the SafetyBase team with our requirements.
In two phases of work, we were able to develop a Site Sign On and Sign Off system, followed by a contractor Induction system. It was important to us that we could ensure individual contractors had site information, understood our safety rules, and could be managed remotely.
The developments allowed 2 Degrees Mobile to automate inductions, screen contractors for their current authorisations, escalate visits that go past expected sign-off time and generally provide evidence that we are managing our legal responsibilities in potentially hazardous locations.
We are more than happy with the result and the capabilities of both the SafetyBase software and the team behind it.
The Freightways Express group of companies includes well-known brands such as New Zealand Couriers, Post Haste, Castle Parcels, Now Couriers, DX Mail and Online Security, among others.
We have a commitment to safety through membership of the ACC’s Partnership Programme. We have sustained a long and valuable relationship with Simon Lawrence (SafetyPro Limited) since 2000, when Simon conducted our initial ACC Audit.
Since then, Simon switched to a more consulting role and has been a reliable and professional source of annual pre-audits, health and safety training and provider of ad hoc advice. We have always found his approach courteous, constructive and business-like.
I personally have no reservations in recommending Simon Lawrence as an experienced and professional provider.
When I took up the position of Health and Safety Manager at AA, for a national organisation of its size and complexity, I wanted a platform to capture and report our health and safety data.
We chose SafetyBase because it provides the modules we required in a secure Cloud based platform. We particularly value the fact that our “Enterprise Edition” is customisable. We can have data collection forms altered, or brand-new forms created. We also collaborated with the SafetyBase team on a development that allows a variety of Incident Report types for our diverse business.
If you’re looking for a system that provides the core health and safety components, without being too complex, I can recommend SafetyBase.
TR Group Limited is New Zealand’s leading provider of road transport trucks and trailers for both short and long term contracts. Our fleet consists of approximately 1300 trailers and 1200 trucks.
As an employer within the transport industry we are acutely aware of our obligation to provide a safe environment for our team and our customers. In the interests of ensuring we are doing all that we can here we sought an impartial third party review of our safety programme. After extensive research TR Group selected Safety Pro .
We have found Simon to be professional, thorough and most importantly personable. The manner that he has conducted himself with the wider TR team has resulted in Safety Pro being regarded as part of the team rather than an imposition or threat.
I would highly recommend Safety Pro to any potential party seeking an outsourcing solution to complement their Health and Safety programme.
